

The Child, es un videoclip del diseñador gráfico Antoine Bardou-Jacquet para Alex Gopher, que sorprende por su dinamización del texto y la tipografía para mostrar la historia de una mujer de parto y su pareja atravesando Manhattan en taxi para llegar al hospital. La historia, sin ninguna particularidad en sí misma formaliza a todos los personajes, objetos y la ciudad a partir de sus respectivas palabras, inspirándose en Legible City de Jeffrey Shaw de los 80s.
El concepto de la materialización de texto en un paisaje urbano es explotado por Antoine Bardou-Jacquet no solo en la visualización mediante texto de personas y entorno sino además, se introduce en estos textos la narrativa, utilizando para renderizar palabras que corresponden a un significado momentáneo para un narrador inespecífico.
